Photo GalleryIn an effort to document the unique history of Orange Beach's development from fishing village to tourist destination, we are actively collecting the history, including pictures and documents, of early families in the area. These pictures represent the beginning of that effort. Our thanks to Earl Callaway for his contribution of family pictures and stories.

The deck of the Ellen C. |
According to James Callaway's grandson, Earl, the Ellen C would be loaded with naval stores, molasses, sugar, rum and lumber for trade to Cuba and the Dominican Republic. At times she was also under government contract to service channel beacons. |
