The Orange Beach Public Library will be starting up home school group on Thursday, September 17, 2009 @ 2:00pm.  All who are interested should plan on attending this day for information on the programs that will be offered.  All programs will be library and literature based.

Be Creative @ Your Library-Summer Reading Theme for 2009

Summer reading program calendars are available at the circulation desk and in the children’s department.  Please come by and pick up one today! 

Also, sign up for Summer Reading and win prizes!  Challenge yourself and enjoy reading all summer!

During the month of May,  we will begin the rehearsal process for a Summer Reading Program performance.

Performances will be on July 16, 2009 at 3 & 4pm. 

If you are a rising 6th-through rising 12th grade, you are invited to audition on Tuesday, May 5th at 3:30pm.

This will be a relaxed audition for those interested in theatre arts!  I need actors, actresses, props crew, and assistants!!! 

We will rehearse on May 19th and 26th, 2009 from 3:30pm-5pm.  You must be able to attend these rehearsals to be a part of the production.

Various opportunities are available for teens who would like to complete volunteer requirements.

Teen Book Collection 

The library has all the hottest titles for teen reading including the Twilight series, Inkheart, Manga and graphic novels and many other hot titles currently available.   If there is a certain title you are looking for,  browse the catalogue online or ask a library staff member for assistance.

Teen Programs Groups

We have a regular group of teens that meet weekly at the library to hang out, discuss books, volunteer and help the library decide on cool activities for teens.
