The MacBook is the laptop that will be issued to all high school students in Baldwin County during the first weeks of the 2012/2013 school year.

This 40-minute workshop will introduce the MacBook Air, describe the major differences between Apple & PC computers and give a basic overview of the most common settings and software that students will be using in the coming school year. The Baldwin County Board of Education's new Digital Renaissance Website will be posted during the follow-up question and answer period, and handouts will be available to attendees.

This is not a substitute for the official Parent Orientation offered at Gulf Shores High School.

This class is targeted at new iPad users who need help learning the basics of using the iPad.
Topics covered in the class include: basic navigation, all about apps and basic troubleshooting.
Attendees must bring their own iPad.

Registration is required as seating is limited. This is a repeat of the May 17th class.

Topics covered:

• Downloading pictures from a digital camera to your computer
• Organizing pictures into photo albums
• Emailing pictures as attachments (jpeg, gif, etc.)
• Free software for organizing digital photos: Kodak Photo Gallery and Picasa (Google Photos)

Students are encouraged to bring laptops, digital cameras and cables to connect the two.
